It asks without bothering
A row of buttons, a sentence above if you want one. No pop-up, no account to create, no field to fill in. It takes a second.
It counts for real
The adding up happens in the database, not in the browser: two clicks at the same instant make two, not one. And the same reaction cannot be hammered from the same place.
It tells you what to write next
Your account ranks your pages by number of reactions. It is the shortest list there is for knowing what people like on your site.
What it does not do
Better to say it before you waste your time.
It is not a vote
Without accounts, "one person, one vote" does not exist on the public web. We cap clicks per reaction, per page and per address, which stops anyone from inflating a number, but a whole office sometimes counts as one person. It is a thermometer, not a ballot box.
It does not collect comments
One click, one number. If you want people to write to you, the Forms module is what you need, and the two sit side by side.
It does not show who reacted
There is no list of names, no avatar, no profile. The module knows nothing about your visitors, and that is on purpose.
It does not install without proof
You first have to show that the site is yours, and the module then refuses to show up anywhere but your site.
Free, with one line under the module
No limit on clicks, no trial period. A discreet "Powered by Bonjour la toile" line appears under the row: that is what pays for the service. To remove it from all your sites, it's CA$10 a month.
