Documentation / The modules
Events
The Events module shows your program: your classes, your evenings, your workshops. What repeats is set once, one date can be canceled on its own, and what is over disappears by itself.
An event
A title, a day, and, if you want, times, a place, a description, a price (or "Free"), a category, an image (512 KB at most) and a sign-up or ticketing link. Without a start time, it lasts all day. A multi-day event (a festival) is set with its end date: it stays shown as long as it is not over.
The sign-up link must be a full address starting with https://. It opens in a new tab, on your usual ticketing service.
What repeats
- Every week: one or more days ("every Tuesday and Thursday").
- Every month: the first, second, third, fourth or last given day ("the first Saturday of the month").
- Until: the last date, or nothing for "no end".
Canceling one date (a Tuesday on a holiday) does not touch the others. The date stays shown, crossed out, with "Canceled": whoever is looking for it knows it is not happening. You can restore it.
What your visitors see
Four views, which they switch between freely: the list of what is coming, the month calendar (a list of busy days on a phone), the week, or cards with pictures. The one they see first is set in the "Settings" tab, along with the categories, which they use as a filter.
Every event is added to their calendar in one click, and the "Subscribe to the calendar" link subscribes their calendar to the whole program: new events arrive on their own.
Language and time zone
Dates and times follow the site's language ("Chaque mardi, 19 h" or "Every Tuesday, 7 PM") and the calendar's time zone, set in the "Settings" tab. Your titles and descriptions stay as you wrote them.
