Documentation / The modules

Hours

The Opening hours module shows your opening hours, your special days and a status line: "Open now · closes at 5 PM", or "Closed · opens tomorrow at 9 AM". You change your hours in your account, and every page that carries the module follows on its own.

The typical week

Every day has up to two slots: one for a continuous day, two for a lunch break. Check "Closed" for a day with no opening. The box wins over the hours typed next to it: a closed day is saved without hours, and unchecking the box and setting them again is enough to reopen it.

  • Past midnight: a 6 PM to 2 AM slot counts for the day it starts on, and stays open until 2 AM the next day.
  • 24 hours a day: a slot from midnight to midnight.

A new module starts from an office week (9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays, 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, closed on Sunday): correct what does not look like you.

Holidays and exceptional closures

A special day replaces the typical week on that day: closed, or other hours, with a short note for your visitors ("Labour Day", "Stock count"). The module shows those of the current week in the grid, and those of the next two months under "Special hours".

Past days disappear on their own a week after their date. Holidays do not set themselves: they differ from one province and one trade to the next.

The time zone

"Open now" is computed in your business's time, not the viewer's nor our servers'. The time zone is set in the module's "Settings" tab (Toronto by default). Daylight saving is handled on its own.

The language

The module speaks the language chosen in the site's settings: "9 h 30" and "Lundi" in French, "9:30 AM" and "Monday" in English. The original title is translated too; a title you rewrote shows as is.

Embedding

The code in the "Embed" tab shows this module. Paste it where people look for your hours: the contact page, the footer.
